A Case of Pelvic Actinomycosis

Abstract

|
Actinomycosis is a chronic suppurative or granulomatous fungal disease. Actinomycosis bovis (Israeli) is a common in habitant of oral cavity and gastro-intestinal tract and is generally recognized to be unable to penetrate the barrier of intact normal mucous membrane. This report discribes a case of primary actinomycosis of the pelvic rogan without evidence of pre-existing such as other abdominal organic disease the underlying colonic mucous membrane, a review of the literature reveals that this case represents the first report instance of primary involvement of the pelvic organ in our clinic.
